It seems that history changes culture. Once upon a time near the Chebbi dunes, nomads found water, quickly transforming it into a weel. The time has passed and the interior walls of the well turned white.

Nomads started to have a distinct reference for that specific place. The white well started to be on nomads peoples hears and the name prevailed its existence until nowadays. Hassilabied or the white well of the Sahara is today a village of nomads, desert nomads that with time settled along that white well.
